It’s about presence, connection, and letting the day unfold in a way that feels natural and true to you.

We’re not just documenting moments—we’re creating space for them. That means knowing when to step in and guide you… and when to quietly let you be.

We’ve climbed with couples, weathered unexpected storms, built Plan Bs before you even knew we needed one, and helped people find the calm in the chaos. Whatever the terrain—emotional or physical—we’ve got you.

We are here to passionately support + inspire you, to encourage a path of authenticity for your wedding day.

Choosing your elopement photography team is one of the most important choices you will make when planning your elopement day.

Why is this so important?

Our couple couldn’t have said it better here:

“As an eloping couple, you’ll be spending more of your special day with your photographers than you will with anyone else.” – James + Michele

Outside of being there through planning and the experience, we are capturing the moments. We know being in front of the camera can sometimes be uncomfortable, but we promise, here, you will feel yourself, safe and confident.

Our photography approach is…

Your wedding photos are permanent, but so is the experience.

The experience and the photos — they don’t just go together, they complete each other.

Because without a soul-shifting, core-memory kind of day… the photos lose their meaning.

And without images that stop time — that let you feel it all again — the memory will fade.

“Traci and Bill, we cannot thank you enough for immortalizing our love story in such a remarkable way. “Your talent, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence are truly commendable. We are forever grateful for the unforgettable memories you’ve given us.”

One partner pulls the other up onto a rock.

Trusted vendor recommendations

We only recommend creatives we know and trust—florists, hair and makeup artists, chefs, and more—who specialize in elopements and share our standards of excellence and care.

Drone Coverage

Where permitted, we offer drone photography and video to capture the full scale of the beautiful place you chose to say ‘I do.’ With FAA Part 107 certification, we fly within all legal guidelines to ensure your day is captured safely and ethically.

Fast turnaround & legacy support

You’ll receive sneak peeks the same day—sent right to your phone—so you can relive it instantly. Your full high-resolution gallery is delivered within 6 weeks (video within 12), along with guidance on how to preserve your images, print them beautifully, and keep them safe for generations. All of our galleries include a slideshow to watch your images come to life + a custom album design unfolding your story in your hands.

Officiant and Witness Services

We are both ordained, which means we can actually officiate your ceremony. Or be your two witnesses! We love officiating for our couples, not just signing the paperwork. (Is that even legal?) If you have a guest that you want to officiate your ceremony, but may need a little help we are here to connect with them as well to assist.

Flexibility when needed

This is your wedding day—but it’s also real life. We get that. Every one of our packages includes built-in flexibility. Whether that means shifting your timeline due to temporary weather, or changing locations because of wildfire smoke, flooding, or other emergencies—we’re ready to adapt so your day can still feel exactly how it should: calm, intentional, and meaningful.

Expert Planning Resources

Our 95+ page elopement guide distills everything we’ve learned from hundreds of elopements—plus our Leave No Trace expertise—into one empowering resource to help you plan with confidence and care.

Tailored Location Scouting

You won’t find these spots on a trending blog. With boots-on-the-ground scouting and years of exploring remote terrain, we’ll help you discover the place that feels right. Whether it’s a hidden alpine lake, a desert arch at dawn, or a quiet canyon under stars—we help you find a location that holds meaning, not just beauty.

Connection-Focused Questionnaires

We send intentional prompts (a.k.a. elopement “date nights”) to help you reflect and connect during planning—because a meaningful elopement starts with a meaningful process.

Personalized Timelines

Every couple receives a custom timeline tailored to your unique vision, energy, and priorities. We also provide separate timelines for guests (if you have them), plus detailed packing lists and travel guidance so nothing gets missed.

Permit Assitance

We assist you through any required permits, covering up to $250 of photography-related fees. With extensive knowledge of public lands, we’ll help you navigate red tape with ease.

Two partners lean in for a kiss with the night sky overlaid around them.

Can you believe this really happened?

That’s the feeling we want you to have when you see your sneak peeks—often by the end of your elopement day, always by the next morning.

A chance to hold the moment close before it even feels real.

Sneak peeks are a great way to share your day with your loved ones back home or simply cuddle up together and soak in this time together chatting over your favorite parts of your elopement as you get to see yourselves living your life – to the fullest.

Because your love seeks depth over tradition, here is where you can elope with us….

In the mountains…

Washington + Alaska + Sierra Nevada’s

We call the Pacific Northwest home—tucked into the heart of the North Cascades, where ancient forests, glacier-fed lakes, and rugged peaks create a landscape built for an incredibly epic adventure elopement day for you to escape all the distractions and immerse yourself into nature.

If your ideal elopement includes hiking through alpine meadows, kayaking across misty waters, climbing granite walls, or watching the sun set over a rocky coastline, the PNW offers it all.

Packages range from 6 hours to multi-day adventures.

In The Desert…

Moab, Utah + Northern Arizona

Adventure and Vow first blossomed in the sandstone cliffs of Sedona, Arizona. The Southwest is where our journey started—and it’s still one of the most awe-inspiring places we capture couples saying “I do.”

Here, your elopement can be anything but ordinary—whether that means hiking to a secret overlook, climbing desert towers, canyoneering through hidden slots, camping under the stars, kayaking down the Colorado River or soaring above the mesas in a hot air balloon.

Packages range from 4 hours to multi-day adventures.

$6,000 – $11,800

International Elopements

New Zealand, Switzerland, Iceland and beyond…

We believe that traveling somewhere new together is one of the most romantic, transformative things you can do. It deepens connection, sparks wonder, and creates memories that feel larger than life.

We’ve had the honor of documenting love in places like New Zealand, Iceland and Switzerland. We are dreaming of adding Norway, Africa, and South America to that list.

This is where honeymoon meets wedding—where you begin your marriage by stepping boldly into something new, together. Your international elopement might include the familiar (hiking, exploring, slow mornings), or the once-in-a-lifetime—train rides through alpine villages, helicopter landings on glaciers, zip-lining through rainforests, wine tasting in ancient vineyards, or spotting lions on safari.

Packages range from 8 hours to multi-day excursions.

$9,200 – $15,400

Video Elopement Add-On

Because some moments deserve to be felt again—and again.

Photographs hold the moment, but video let’s you hear it —the sound of your vows, the wind through the trees, the emotion in your voice, the way you looked at each other in that exact moment.

One of the most powerful gifts of video is being able to relive your ceremony—to hear the words you promised and feel the weight of the moment. It’s also a beautiful way to bring your day to those who couldn’t be there in person, letting them witness the magic for themselves.

Our base video add on includes a 3–5 minute handcrafted highlight film.

Starting at $2,600

Two marriers hold hands surrounded by snow-capped mountains.

“And the final products… our highlight video and gallery were both breathtaking. They captured every moment of our day so perfectly… the artistic vision behind each image and the way Bill wove our personal vows together in our video… we don’t have the words to describe how incredible it is.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all!! We LOVE sharing locations and essentially being a match-maker for your ideal elopement day and a location. We can help you narrow down your ideas or provide new ones that may be a perfect fit.

We also are available for proposals, adventure couples sessions like engagements, anniversaries/vow renewals. We do photograph adventure focused micro weddings. Typically this is a day or multi-day elopement where the couple adventures on their own and then celebrates with around 10-60 loved ones an out door forward venue.

For past Adventure and Vow couples we also offer mini sessions and maternity sessions. If you are interested in booking a session with us that is not an elopement please contact us and we will get back to you on availability, pricing + process!

You can elope with just you two (no guests) or you can bring a long a few really important loved ones.
Ideally, to actually be able to follow Leave No Trace and be able to go somewhere beautiful we HIGHLY recommend 12 people or less in total.
If you want to have more people than that we strongly suggest holding the ceremony or “reception” on private land like a venue, winery, brewery, private home, etc.
Your day shouldn’t be limited in who can attend + celebrate with you, it’s just important to consider guest count + experience, how each of those effects the other.
Some Public Lands are becoming more strict on elopements so the less people the easier it is to get approved for a permit. Often locations in parks are determine by guest count for the ceremony.

We recommend booking at least 2 months in advance so we have time to pull permits if needed. Couples typically book anywhere from 14 months to 3 months in advance. If you are eloping somewhere that does not require permits like the Oregon Coast, Sedona or other areas then we can for sure plan everything within a month! (We have done it in even less time before!)

Welp, my friends, life happens sometimes! This does not mean that we will not be prepared for it though! In the case that there is an extreme weather condition that would make it unsafe to elope we would go to a pre-planned back up location, switch the time of your elopement or change to a back up date. Leading up to your elopement we will be watching the weather like a hawk. We will make the call most likely the day before.

Here are a few of our top tips for handling weather when you’re not in control!

  • Watch the weather. Don’t panic or take it too seriously until needed, weather changes all the time.
  • Choose your elopement location based around the best weather option, for example we don’t recommend eloping in the desert in the summer due to extreme heat and monsoon season.
  • If rain or snow is in the forecast pick up some clear umbrellas they photograph beautifully and keep you dry!
  • Have a back up plan in place. Our three recommendations are: have a back up location selected, leave room in your schedule the day after your elopement or pick a different time of day to do your elopement if it’s not a full day.
  • If it’s going to be cold be sure to have layers and hand warmers!!! You want to be warm and comfortable so you can enjoy the day!
  • Most importantly, accept it and freaking have fun with it!!!! If it’s raining, heck go dance in the rain! Cloudy? Embrace being in a cloud and snuggling up together. Snow? Build a snowman or have a snow ball fight! Let your inner child embrace what Mother Nature is providing.

Don’t let weather scare you away from a freaking epic elopement day experience. One of the biggest reasons Bill and I love elopements is that they feel like a true reflection of what marriage may be, the ups and the challenges and the whatever life throws you! The moments and weather is simply a part of that.

Part of the reason we offer a free initial planning call is to help you decide how much time is right for your elopement day! Keep in mind, our creativity and your comfort in front of a camera flourishes with time. Plus you do not want to rush your wedding day!!! You want to slow down, cherish every minute of it and be immersed in experiencing it together. We highly recommend reading out timeline samples blog and chatting with us on a call before deciding exactly how many hours to book us for!

When your inquiry comes in we will assign it to: Malachi or Traci + Bill. We assign each elopement based on availability, what services you are looking for, and who we think would be the best fit for your day.

You will have 1 photographer, but we are permitted by our contract to bring an additional photographer or set of hands if we think it would be beneficial to your day/experience. For example, on a rock climbing and most back-packing elopements, we need two people. If you hire photo + video, you will have one photographer and one videographer.

We work closely with each couple to make sure we are picking locations that each couple feel stoked and comfortable getting to. Also, hiking is not always how we can get somewhere super epic to say I do, there is rock climbing, kayaking, boating, helicopter or private plane, ski or off-roading!

What we’re getting at here is the adventure is yours and that’s where our stoke is at. We are here to help you craft the perfect plans.

UMMMM, yes!!! I love when couples bring along their furry kiddos. I would say at least 50% of our couples elope with their dogs tagging along. Just keep in mind it is a good idea to bring a friend along to be the dog wrangler for any time during photos that you may just want the two of you in them or to hold during the ceremony. It is not a must, but a great thing to do! Also, you want to research your location to see if dogs are allowed on the trail. A lot of National Parks have heavy restrictions on pets. Be sure to know if your pet is allowed off leash or not at your location. Lastly, always be sure to clean up after your pup.
